When was the last time you had buttermilk pancakes made from scratch? Or a fluffy omelette cooked in real butter served with toast from a local bakery? How about american fries made with potatoes that are baked and shredded right in the restaurant? These are just a few of the reasons why you can expect our food to taste different than what you may have experienced from most restaurants. We pattie our own burgers using fresh ground chuck from Jacob's Meat Market. Steaks and steak sandwiches are cut to order right from the tenderloin.

Schreiner's Diner has been serving Breakfast and Lunch to the Fox Valley for over 35 years. Our unique restaurant layout offers patrons a chance to converse with each other across the u-shaped counters or watch their meal being prepared by our experienced cooks. With this arrangement, we are able to get to know the customers more closely and consequently are able to focus on their individual preferences, resulting in a more satisfying dining experience.

We've added new items to our menu to accommodate the tastes and diet restrictions of our diners. We serve eggs benedict on the weekends and a more recent breakfast item are our hearty skillets. For the more health conscious, we offer steaming oatmeal, oat bran or cream of wheat with raisins, craisins and pecans available upon request.

If you're looking for a light lunch, our home made soup and sandwich combo may be a palette pleaser. Our home style daily special offered for lunch varies from day to day, with the exception of every Wednesday when we serve chicken and dumplings and on Friday's baked cod, salmon loaf or deep-fried shrimp.
